About Us:
It all started...
with and idea to promote people getting out of their cars and houses and just doing something outside! Too many people watch their lives go by sitting on the sofa doing nothing. Jon and Mandy Tyner just want to remind people of how much fun it is to play outside just like when you were a kid. Your mom would have to yell at the top of her lungs for you to come in for dinner. You would beg her for a few more minutes of fun outside playing. This Is Living™ is their plan to get people moving and playing outside again, so get off the couch and go play frisbee or go on a hike or bike ride with the family.
Behind This Is Living...
is Tyner Graphics. Tyner graphics is owned by Jon and Mandy Tyner. Jon is the artist and is responsible for all the wonderful artwork you see here and at www.tynergraphics.com. Mandy is responsible for the clothes on your back so to speak once you have a This Is Living™ t-shirt. Jon does all the creative stuff, while Mandy spends her time out in the shop printing the shirts. Both split their time with their toddler Amber. She is the sunshine of their lives. Both Jon and Mandy love the outdoors and moved to the mountains of North Carolina on a whim after a wonderful cycling and camping trip. Living in northern Florida was ok, but both longed for less city and more country. The beautiful mountains and rivers with waterfalls cascading through them called to them both as they explored. On the trip back to Florida they both realized they would be happier in the mountains and quiet communities of Western North Carolina than in the fast paced world of the city. So within 6 months they had bought a new house, sold the one they were living in, and settled in for the winter in North Carolina. They both love mountain and road cycling, hiking, fishing, camping and just being outside. They want everyone to learn to slow down and look around them at what this world has to offer. So get out and live!

about yourselves. We would love to hear from you. Send pictures, emails, postcards and letters of your adventures. Take our shirts with you and send pictures of you wearing them. This Is Living™ is just that, living life to it's fullest. If your idea of living is swimming in the river with your kids, hiking to the top of a mountain, jumping from a perfectly good airplane, or sailing the ocean let us hear from you.
Big Island of Hawaii - We hiked here over the lava fields. You can just see the spray in the distance of the fresh hot lava hitting the water!
